Relax on the shores of the Dead Sea and enjoy a night of desert bowling in Ein Bokek, Israel.
About Your Trip
The Dead Sea is one of the most fabled water bodies in the world: a health and spa retreat for thousands of years, and a landmark of enormous Biblical significance. Besides the unparalleled suite of historical and religious sites and the sophistication of its shoreline resorts, the Dead Sea attracts for its geological significance: Its salty basin occupies the lowest land surface on the planet.
Your base for fun on the shores of the Dead Sea will be the resort village of Ein Bokek, famed for its healing spring and its Roman ruins. In addition to plenty of time for sightseeing around the area—the spring is a popular destination, couched as it is in a surreal desert gorge—you’ll enjoy a night on the town with an evening of bowling at the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel.
Bask in the same blazing sunshine and therapeutic waters that have attracted visitors to the Dead Sea since ancient times at your chic accommodations: the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel.
Each of the 300-odd guest rooms—accentuated by classical tiled floors—enjoys a grand view of the salt lake and its desert surroundings. Retreat to the Dead Sea Spa Shizen for a treatment combining modern luxury with age-old wellness techniques. The on-site bowling alley, which you’ll take full advantage of, is a delightfully quirky touch.
Meanwhile, there are plenty of places to indulge an appetite worked up by throwing all those strikes: Eateries include Alma Lobby Restaurant, La Carrousel, Le Metro and Salt & Pepper, the Pool Bar.
