Tamarindo is a village along the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The city is located in the Guanacaste Province — home to Las Baulas National Marine Park — and boasts ideal surfing conditions and tropical wildlife.

Day 1

Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Check into the hotel any time after 2 p.m.
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Welcome reception at the hotel’s lobby or pool area; includes appetizers and 30 minutes of Costa Rican music and dancing.

Day 2

6-7 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
7:10 a.m.: Full-day Rio Perdido Hot Springs Tour, where you’ll experience a sequence of zip lines connected to rock-based platforms and suspended bridges through the Rio Blanco Canyon walls. You’ll also hike along Blanco River trails and enjoy thermo-mineral hot springs; includes air-conditioned transportation, zip lining equipment, thermal water, tour guide and a snack.
Authentic Guanacaste buffet lunch at a local restaurant.

Day 3

6-8:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
2-hour surfing lesson at Tamarindo Beach; includes instructor, equipment and transportation.
The afternoon at your leisure (time to enjoy your complimentary spa treatment).
7-10 p.m.: Buffet dinner at the hotel’s Langosta Main Restaurant.
Optional evening entertainment at the hotel.

Day 4

A day at your leisure (optional tours available at your own expense).
Farewell dinner at the hotel’s Restaurant a la Carte.

Day 5

Check out of the hotel by noon and transfer to the airport.

Children ages 0-2 stay free when sharing existing bedding with 1-2 paid adults. Children ages 3-11 are US$643 per child when sharing existing bedding with 1-2 paid adults. Children age 12 or older are charged the adult rate.

We base children’s pricing on their age at the time of travel. Their reservation has to be booked and paid for in order for you to check them in.

Please remember to book a reservation for everyone you’re bringing along on your DreamTrip before you travel. Otherwise, they’ll be charged the hotel’s prevailing rate, not the trip price.

Full-day Rio Perdido Hot Springs Tour:
• Temperatures of the hot springs range from 90 to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.
• A private swim-up bar will be available in the hot springs (beverages at your own expense).

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Your trip includes 2 airport transfers:
June 23, timing based on arrival: From the airport to the hotel.
June 27, timing based on departure: From the hotel to the airport.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 46 days or more prior to your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips Rewards Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Rewards Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

At the time of booking, you will see a page with your order number and trip cost. This is your confirmation. Please retain and bring this information with you on your trip.

Hotel/resort credits and/or discounts cannot be converted to cash, and any not used during your stay will expire immediately upon your departure.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

As always, make sure that your passport/visa is up-to-date before you leave! It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of six months after the end date of the trip.

Please note: Due to contractual supplier policies, your DreamTrips Specialist may not be able to confirm requested name or room changes to existing bookings for trips that are scheduled to travel within 30 days of your request.

Members with additional people in room, not booked prior to travel, will be charged the hotel’s prevailing rate, not the trip price.
