Day 1

Check into the hotel any time after noon.
Welcome reception.
7-9 p.m.: Welcome special gala dinner at the Main Restaurant.

Day 2

7:30-9 a.m.: Breakfast at the Main Restaurant.
A choice of the following activities at the hotel: children’s club, activity program and tree house playground, floodlit tennis court, beginner windsurfing (certificate required), canoes, boogie boards, pedalloes and introductory diving lesson in the pool.
Noon-2 p.m.: Lunch at one of the hotel’s restaurants; including the buffet at the Main Restaurant, Pizza Garden and the snack menu at the Pool Area.
Dhow Sunset Cruise, where you’ll enjoy a leisurely cruise along the creek where you’ll see mangrove trees, birds and scenic views while enjoying drinks and snacks provided by the staff on the dhow; includes transportation, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (including dawas, vodka, rum, white, red and sparkling wine, water, coke, sprite, orange juice, pineapple juice, tonic and soda water) and snacks (including fried coconuts, crisps, beef and chicken skewers, meat and vegetable samosas, sweet corn fritters and prawns).

We base children’s pricing on their age at the time of travel. Their reservation has to be booked and paid for in order for you to check them in.

Please remember to book a reservation for everyone you’re bringing along on your DreamTrip before you travel. Otherwise, they’ll be charged the hotel’s prevailing rate, not the trip price.

Important Information:
• Watamu beaches are subject to seaweed deposits and tidal variances between May and September. As the beach forms part of the Marine Reserve, the seaweed cannot be cleared away.
• Scuba diving is only available inside the marine park between May and August.
• Blue Turtle Restaurant dress code for gentlemen is long trousers and a tailored shirt.

Watamu Marine National Park & Reserve Conservation Fees:*
• For non-Kenya residents: US$20 per adult and US$15 per child.
• For Kenya residents: 350 Kenyan shillings per adult and 200 Kenyan shillings per child.
• For Kenya citizens: 150 Kenyan shillings per adult and 150 Kenyan shillings per child.

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Moi International Airport (MBA). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Make sure to arrange your own transfers between the airport and your hotel, as they’re not included in the trip price.

The nearest international airport, Moi International Airport (MBA), is about 72 miles from the hotel.

The nearest domestic airport, Malindi Airport (MYD), is about 11 miles from the hotel.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 46 days or more prior to your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Please Note: Requirements for entry into South Africa differ from country to country, and are subject to change. Always make enquiries before travelling to South Africa. New requirements for visiting South Africa – particularly for children – came into effect on 1 June 2015. All children under the age of 18 years who travel into or out of South Africa need the consent of both their parents, and to produce an unabridged birth certificate to get a visa or at a port of entry.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of six months after the end date of the trip.
