Murray River Cruise: Loxton to Mannum

Cruise Australia’s Murray River on this seven-night cruise from Loxton to Mannum aboard the PS Murray Princess paddlewheeler.

About Your Trip

Price displayed above is per person based on double occupancy for the inside cabin and includes all government fees and taxes per person. Upgraded cabin categories are available at an additional cost.

Cruise from Loxton to Mannum, Australia, aboard the PS Murray Princess, the largest inland paddlewheeler in the Southern Hemisphere. Enjoy spectacular outback scenery, riverland wildlife and towering cliffs as you sail the Murray River, passing through three lock systems on your seven-night journey. Along the way, enjoy a number of stops, including the Loxton Historical Village for a look back in time, the quaint town of Waikerie for scenic riverfront views and bird-watching, the Caudo Vineyard for cellar door wine tasting and Morgan township for a guided walking tour.

At Sunnydale, learn about traditional woolsheds and indigenous animals before indulging in an Aussie-inspired barbeque. Your next stop is the Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve, a sacred place for the Nganguraku people and Australia’s first archeological site to be scientifically excavated. View ancient rock carvings and learn about aboriginal history on a guided boardwalk in the reserve. Then spend your last night on the paddlewheeler dining and dancing at the Farewell Captain’s Dinner before disembarking in Mannum the next day.

What we love:
• The two-story Paddlewheel Lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the impressive paddlewheel in action.
• Four of the ship’s five passenger decks are named after historically important pioneers of the Murray River: Sturt, Randell, Cadell and Chaffey.
• The Murray River, one of the world’s longest navigable waterways, is home to turtles, platypuses, koalas and more than 350 species of birds.

Check out this DreamTrip on Facebook.

This trip will close by October 17.
