Hamilton Island is the largest of the Whitsunday Islands, with commercial development occupying only one-third of the region's space. The island's resort and local services include a supermarket, helicopter and seaplane tours of the nearby Great Barrier Reef, plus boating options to beaches and smaller islands.

The island's car-free culture doesn't slow anyone down, thanks to a very walkable center, water taxis and a complimentary bus shuttle service that runs to Hamilton Island Marina, Catseye Beach, the golf driving range and One Tree Hill restaurant for spectacular sunset views. Another transportation option is an easy-to-steer golf buggy, perfect for self-driving tours. A short water-taxi ride away is Hamilton Island Golf Club, an 18-hole championship course designed to accommodate all levels of experience.

Arrive at the airport and transfer to the hotel, timing based on flight details provided.

1-5 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the hotel lobby.
7 p.m.: Welcome dinner at the hotel's Pool Terrace restaurant.

Day 2

7-9:45 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at hotel.
10 a.m. – 3:10 p.m.: Half-day visit to Whitehaven Beach; includes lunch and transportation.
• Board a high-speed catamaran through Cruise Whitsundays for your visit to Whitehaven Beach.
• Embark on a scenic cruise through remote, secluded bays of the Whitsunday Islands.
• Relax on the boat while you enjoy the commentary on the history of the Whitsundays.
• Arrive at Whitehaven Beach.
• Explore Whitehaven Beach and spend time relaxing on the sand and splashing in the azure waters.
• Enjoy a picnic lunch and take in the stunning scenery.
• Take a refreshing swim after lunch.
• Board the boat and return to Hamilton Island.

Day 3

While there, guests can enjoy complimentary non-motorized water sports, including catamaran rides, windsurfing, kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkeling. Although Hamilton Island Marina is within walking distance, a complimentary island shuttle service stops there as well as other popular island destinations.

We base children’s pricing on their age at the time of travel. Their reservation has to be booked and paid for in order for you to check them in.

This DreamTrip includes one (1) hotel credit of 100 Australian dollars per room. The credit is available for use on this DreamTrip only. Credit is not transferable, has no commercial value, is not subject to refund or credit after the stay and cannot be redeemed for cash.

We recommend that guests bring sunscreen and a hat for protection from the sun, a light raincoat, plus swimwear for all outdoor and water activities. We also recommend carrying a canteen or extra bottles of water for outdoor excursions (at your own expense).

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 65 days or more before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 65 days before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are on a per-person basis.

*This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations in applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. Therefore, in the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the provisions of the booking terms will prevail.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

Hotel/resort credits and/or discounts cannot be converted to cash, and any not used during your stay will expire immediately upon your departure. Member is responsible for paying any taxes that may be added to items purchased with hotel/resort credit.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

Make sure that your passport and visa, if applicable, are up-to-date before you leave! It’s important to double check that you have all the identification and other documentation required by the specific country you’re traveling to. In many countries, passports and visas must be valid for 6 months or longer after the trip end date. If you are unable to obtain the required identification and other documentation, the Cancellation Policy for this DreamTrip will apply.

Members with additional people in the room, not booked prior to travel, will be charged the hotel’s prevailing rate, not the trip price.
