In fact, reputable calligrapher Chi-Liang Hou maintains that “the best paper is from Taiwan.” • Taichung Metropolitan Park is perched at the top of Dadu Hill, and offers spectacular views of the city and Taiwan Strait – it’s a short drive from your hotel.

The country is known for its spicy cuisine influenced by China and Japan, but local treats including suncakes and the famous pearl milk tea (bubble tea) have put the city on the world culinary map. The numerous and exciting night markets around the city offer visitors the perfect opportunity to sample regional fare, shop to their heart’s content and mingle with the locals. And historic sites and landmarks such as the Huangxi Bookstore, Wenchang Temple and the Lin Family Mansion and Garden give visitors a glimpse into the colorful past of this fascinating city.

Arrive at the airport and meet our greeter in the arrival hall for your transfer to the hotel. Transfer to the hotel at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. or 4 p.m. Check into hotel any time after 3 p.m. 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the hotel lobby. 7 p.m.: Welcome dinner at a local restaurant with 1 complimentary round of soft drinks.
Day 2
7-9 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at the hotel. 9:15 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Full-day Taichung tour; includes lunch and transportation. • 9:15 a.m.: Pickup from the hotel. • Visit Sun Moon Lake. • Visit Wen Wu Temple. • Lunch at a local restaurant. • Visit Ita Thao Village. • Visit the Guangxing Paper Mill; includes do-it-yourself workshop. • 5:30 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
Day 3
7-9 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at the hotel. A day at your leisure, with complimentary hotel facilities for your enjoyment.
Day 4
7-9 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Check out of hotel by noon. Transfer to the airport at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. or 4 p.m.

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Taichung-Taichung International Airport (RMQ). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 46 days or more prior to your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip. Welcome DreamTrip Eligibility Policy: The new member rate is available for members who book their first Welcome DreamTrip within 90 days of joining the DreamTrips™ community. The special new-member rate only applies to your first Welcome DreamTrip booking, and only if booked within the first 90 days of membership. Members not in that window can book a Welcome DreamTrip for the higher, existing member rate, which can be viewed in the drop-down menu. If you book your Welcome DreamTrip at the new member rate but are outside of your 90-day window of eligibility, we will email you to collect the difference between the new member rate and the member rate. Hotel/resort credits and/or discounts cannot be converted to cash, and any not used during your stay will expire immediately upon your departure. Member is responsible for paying any taxes that may be added to items purchased with hotel/resort credit.
In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.
Make sure that your passport and visa, if applicable, are up-to-date before you leave! It’s important to double check that you have all the identification and other documentation required by the specific country you’re traveling to. In many countries, passports and visas must be valid for 6 months or longer after the trip end date. If you are unable to obtain the required identification and other documentation, the Cancellation Policy for this DreamTrip will apply.
Please note: Due to contractual supplier policies, we may not be able to confirm requested name or room changes to existing bookings for trips that are scheduled to travel within 30 days of your request.
Members with additional people in the room, not booked prior to travel, will be charged the hotel’s prevailing rate, not the trip price.
