Naivasha is a small market town on the edges of Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya. Thanks to the diverse natural attractions of the area — from scenic lakes to picturesque nature reserves — Naivasha is a popular destination for those wishing to take a break from the busy city life in Nairobi. On the shores of peaceful Lake Elmenteita (a UNESCO World Heritage site) are white pelicans, pink flamingos and grazing zebras and buffalo. Hell’s Gate National Park is a walkable park with hiking trails through the spectacular scenery of gorges and rock towers.

Floriculture, in addition to tourism, is an important industry in the area, providing cut flowers — mostly roses — to be shipped to Europe and around the world. The blend of fresh lake water with rich, fertile soil and sunny days has resulted in successful flower farms such as Oserian that prepares more than a million stems per day to be exported.

Day 1

Check into the hotel any time after 2 p.m.
2-5 p.m.: Meet your host at the welcome table in the hotel lobby and enjoy a welcome drink (1 per person).
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Welcome reception by the lake with a sundowner cocktail. Nonalcoholic drinks will also be available (1 per person).
7:30-9:30 p.m.: 5-course buffet welcome dinner in the main dining room of the hotel.

Day 2

6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room of the hotel.
The rest of the morning at your leisure. Relax and Rejuvenate at the award winning Siyara Spa (extra cost).
12:30-2:30 p.m.: Buffet lunch in the main dining room of the hotel.
3-5 p.m.: Lake Naivasha boat ride to Crescent Island, where you’ll have the opportunity to walk with wild animals and enjoy a picnic (snacks) on the island.
5 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
The rest of the afternoon at your leisure. Relax and Rejuvenate at the award winning Siyara Spa (extra cost).
7:30-10 p.m.: Gala dinner in the main dining room at the hotel.
Dancing at Wave Nightclub (optional).

Day 3

6:30-10 a.m.: Buffet breakfast in the main dining room of the hotel.
Check out of the hotel by 10 a.m.
12:30-2:30 p.m.: Buffet lunch in the main dining room of the hotel.

We base children’s pricing on their age at the time of travel. Their reservation has to be booked and paid for in order for you to check them in.

Spa treatments at the hotel are available at your own expense.

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), approximately 109 kilometers (68 miles). We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Make sure to arrange your own transfers between the airport and your hotel, as they’re not included in the trip price.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 36 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 35 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips™ Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

As always, make sure that your passport/visa is up-to-date before you leave! It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the end date of the trip.
