Katerini is located between the Thermaic Gulf and Mt. Olympus on the Pierian Plain. It is home to a wide range of geological wonders as well as contemporary and classic architecture. The town’s proximity to the sea offers striking views of turquoise waters and sandy beaches. Stop by a local cafe or restaurant to try authentic Greek fare during your time in this relaxing town.

Visitors interested in Mt. Olympus mythology, wildlife and climbing opportunities can visit the town of Litochoro, which is 25.8 miles (41 kilometers) south of Katerini, to explore and hike in the beautiful forests on the mountain. There are many museums and walking tours dedicated to showcasing Byzantine art, relics from the Ottoman Empire and more historic artifacts.

On top of other exciting excursions, Platinum Members will be treated to an exclusive, per-person tour of Ampelakia and a wine-tasting excursion on Day 4.

Day 4: Full-day tour of Ampelakia and a local winery; includes transportation, an English-speaking guide, wine tasting and lunch.
• 9-10:15 a.m.: Depart from the hotel and transfer to Ampelakia.
• 10:20-11:30 a.m.: Visit the Georgios Schwartz mansion (the group may be split into 2 groups for tour).
• 11:35 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.: Visit the Folklore and Historical Museum.
• 12:15-2 p.m.: Free time and a 3-course lunch with 1 drink per person.
• 2:05-2:15 p.m.: Transfer to the Dougos Winery in Goni.
• 2:20-3:45 p.m.: Tour the winery and enjoy a wine tasting.
• 3:55-4:45 p.m.: Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 2

7:30-8:15 a.m.: Buffet breakfast at Erato Restaurant.
8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Full-day excursion to the Edessa Waterfalls and Pozar hot springs; includes lunch, transportation, an English-speaking guide and entrance fees.
• 8:30 a.m.: Depart from the hotel.
• 10:20 a.m.: Arrive in Edessa.
• 10:20-11:50 a.m.: Walk around the town, see waterfalls and a sesame-oil factory museum.
• 11:50 a.m.: Depart from Edessa to Pozar, approximately a 40-minute drive.
• 12:35-3:15 p.m.: Enjoy the hot springs and open-air pools. You can also climb up the complex of the caves if you wish.
• 3:15 p.m.: Transfer to a local restaurant in Loutraki.
• 3:30-4:30 p.m.: Eat a 3-course lunch with 1 glass of wine at a local restaurant.
• 4:30-6 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
7-9:30 p.m.: Buffet dinner at Erato Restaurant.

Day 3

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 91 days or more before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 90 days before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are on a per-person basis.

*This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations in applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. Therefore, in the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the provisions of the booking terms will prevail.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.
