Crete, the biggest and most settled of the Greek islands, can trace its rich beginnings to one of the world’s earliest recorded civilizations — the Bronze-Age culture of the Minoans. Chania is the 2nd-largest city on the island of Crete. It boasts a charming combination of historical architecture and contemporary style. Visitors enjoy touring the streets of Chania’s Old Town, inhabited since the Neolithic Era. Popular sightseeing attractions include the Archeological Museum of Chania in the Saint Francis Monastery and the Nautical Museum of Crete. Vast orchards of olives and citrus fruits add to the countryside’s scenic appeal. Chania’s rich heritage, archaeological monuments, sparkling beaches and inviting culture make it a favorite travel destination for visitors from around the world.

On top of other exciting excursions, Platinum Members will be treated to an exclusive, per-person tour of a Cretan winery and olive mill on Day 6.

Day 6: Full-day Platinum tour of Crete; includes transportation, gratuities and local tastings.*

• 11:30 a.m.: Visit the Cretan village of Vouves and see the world’s oldest olive tree.
• Noon: Depart from Vouves.
• 12:20 p.m.: Visit the village of Anoskeli. Go to a local winery and olive mill, and enjoy a tasting of olive oil on fresh bread with salt and lemon. You will also sample 5 wines paired with local snacks.
• Try local drinks (Tsikoudia and Raki) with seasonal fruit.
• 2:10 p.m.: Depart from the winery.
• 2:25 p.m.: Lunch at a traditional restaurant.
• 3:40 p.m.: Depart from the restaurant.
• 4 p.m.: Return to the hotel.

9 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Full-day tour of Elafonissi Beach; includes lunch, an English-speaking guide, local taxes and transportation with air conditioning.

• Stop for coffee and visit Agia Sofia’s Cave.
• Visit Chrysoskalitissa Monastery.
• Walk on Elafonissi Beach.
• Lunch at a local restaurant.

We base children’s pricing on their age at the time of travel. Their reservation has to be booked and paid for in order for you to check them in.

Both excursions are not recommended for people with mobility issues. They involve walking and are not accessible by wheelchair. Please consult your doctor prior to booking.

Both excursions are weather dependent. If an activity is canceled by port authorities, it will be rescheduled or replaced by an activity of equal or greater value.

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 36 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 35 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.
