Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Check into the hotel any time after 1:00 p.m.
6 p.m.: Welcome reception at the Mnemba View Bar; includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.
7 p.m.: Welcome beach barbecue dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant.
A morning at your leisure.
12:30 p.m.: Lunch at the hotel’s main restaurant.
The afternoon at your leisure.
7 p.m.: Dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant.
The rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 3

7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant.
8:00 a.m.: Full-day island escape tour,* where you’ll travel by boat or bus (see Additional Information) to Mnemba Island. You’ll have time to enjoy the beach and natural tropical vegetation.
Beach barbecue lunch on a deserted unspoiled beach (catering done by the hotel).
7 p.m.: Swahili buffet dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant.

Day 4

7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant.
8:00 a.m.: Full-day Stone Town tour and spice tour,* where you’ll be transferred from the hotel to the Spice Farm (40 minutes). A local guide will take the group around and show you the different plants, smells and medicinal uses of the various spices. You’ll get to taste fresh coconut milk and get a hat made for you out of palm leaves. Your guided tour of Stone Town includes visits to the slave quarters, the Old Fort of Zanzibar, the House of Wonders, the fruit, vegetable and spice market and the meat market; includes transportation and guide.
Lunch at a restaurant in the heart of Stone Town.
Free time to shop and explore Stone Town.
5 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
7 p.m.: Dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant.

Day 5

7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel’s main restaurant.
A morning at your leisure.
12:30 p.m.: Lunch at the hotel’s main restaurant.

Please note: Zanzibar falls within a malaria area and your health practitioner should be consulted prior to your visit. It is also important to note that some source countries require that citizens are vaccinated against yellow fever before traveling to Zanzibar, and where in this case, immigration authorities will require your vaccination certificate upon your return.

Please take the following notes and participation eligibility requirements into consideration regarding this trip’s activities:

Full-day island escape tour:
• Guests may travel by boat (20-30 minutes) to the island and return to the hotel by bus (20-30 minutes) as the tide may be too low to return by boat. On some days, this will be reversed. It depends on how the tide is on the day of the excursion.
• No children under the age of 6 are allowed to do snorkeling while on the excursion.
• Any child under the age of 12 needs to be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

Full-day Stone Town tour and spice tour:
• The walk around Stone Town may be tiring for very small children.
• People with health issues are advised not to participate.
• There is no entrance fee at the Spice Farm, but it is expected that the guests leave a tip for the guide.

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 36 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 35 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

*This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations in applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. Therefore, in the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the provisions of the booking terms will prevail.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

In many countries, passports and visas must be valid for 6 months or longer after the trip end date.
