See South Korea by Land, Water & Air

Embark on an amazing 10-day tour around the Korean Peninsula with a cable-car ride, river cruise, local cuisine & much more.

About Your Trip

Celebrate a harmonious mix of natural wonders and rich heritage as you journey through South Korea. Over 10 days, you’ll discover some of the country’s highlights by land, water and air — from Seoul to the tip of the Korean peninsula and back to Seoul. It’s a countryside of scenic coastal plains and soaring mountain ranges, and you’ll be treated to spectacular views during fun sightseeing outings by ferry, riverboat and cable car. Along the way, you’ll also marvel at the majestic natural beauty of wetlands and a bamboo forest park. Man-made sites are just as impressive! During your trip, visit several outstanding cultural landmarks, including 4 UNESCO World Heritage sites — a palace, a fortress, a temple complex and a folk village. History fans will love exploring a traditional hanok village, a 1592 battle site and a memorial to a 1980 political uprising.

Your adventure also includes unique hands-on experiences that let you immerse yourself in the local culture. You’ll make hot-pepper paste in Sunchang and soju-based cocktails in Andong. For something different, you’ll participate in activities at a salt farm, try your hand at picking abalone and encounter sheep in their natural habitat. Foodies will be in food heaven as they tempt their taste buds with Jeonju-style bibimbap, Nohwado Island abalone, Suncheon-style barbecue chicken, Andong-style braised chicken, Danyang-style ribs and other local cuisine.

Back in Seoul, you’ll also delight in a day of leisure to explore the city to your heart’s desire. You might want to check out the N Seoul Tower, a former radio station built in 1969 — from an observation deck there, you’ll get a great panorama of the city’s intriguing landscape with 360-degree views. Or, head out to the bustling, artsy Insadong district, and stock up on souvenirs and crafts such as pottery and traditional tea sets. Another sightseeing option for your leisure day is Gwanghwamun Square, home to several statues of historically significant figures.

What we love:
• The 1395 Gyeongbokgung Palace is the former home of royalty during the Joseon dynasty and is part of the larger Gyeongbokgung complex of gates, bridges, pavilions and historical buildings.
• Abalone was part of Korean royal court cuisine, a traditional cooking style designed for the kings during the influential Joseon dynasty.
• Marvel at the outstanding architecture of Bulguksa Temple, part of a larger UNESCO World Heritage site complex that includes the nearby Seokguram Grotto.
• If you love shopping, Seoul is the place for you! The city is full of vibrant markets selling items of all kinds — meat, seafood, gadgets, clothing, souvenirs and much more.
