Escape the everyday with a well-deserved DreamBreak and enjoy your DreamTrips™ Membership a different way — on your own, instead of in a group! Your DreamBreak does not include a host so you can create your own adventures, your way.

You can expect plenty of family-friendly fun and adventure on this epic 16-night voyage across the North Pacific! From your home port of Vancouver, Canada, you’ll board the Celebrity Millennium® and head off toward the Gulf of Alaska. But first, you’ll enjoy a full day at sea, where you can take advantage of all your ship has to offer. Adults can escape to the spa, sauna or solarium pool, or play a hand or 2 at the casino. Meanwhile, kids can retreat to the arcade or to the rooftop for open-air movie screenings. With nightly entertainment, several pools, delectable cuisine and more, there’s no shortage of onboard activities to keep everyone in the family amused.

Stop first in Sitka, Alaska, and see as many of its 24 nationally registered historic sites as you can. Spend the next 9 days continuing westward through the Bering Strait — home of 14 volcanic Aleutian Islands — and across the Pacific Ocean, traversing the International Date Line on Day 8. You’ll reach the Japanese coast on Day 13, dropping anchor in Otaru, a charming port city known for superb arts and crafts. See the Otaru Taisho Glass Palace and view the exquisite beauty of its fragile exhibit pieces. At the Otaru Music Box Museum, housed in a magnificent century-old building, marvel at the impressive array and craftsmanship of the countless melody-makers on hand.

You’re off next to Hakodate on Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost island. If you’re up for it, you can hike Mt. Hakodate for its renowned view of the landscape. Return to the city to browse more than 280 shops in the morning market or visit numerous historic sites. After a final fun day at sea, you’ll dock in Tokyo, Japan — one of the most popular metropolitan areas of the world and the epicenter of Japanese culture — before disembarking with incredible new memories!

What we love:
• At the south end of Otaru Canal lies Sakaemachi Street Historic District, where old banks and trading houses have been converted into quaint boutiques and shops.
• Hop on a streetcar in Hakodate, a convenient way to see the city. A popular stop is Jujigai Station where visitors can take the ropeway up Mt. Hakodate or walk the streets of the historic district.
• Be sure to take some time to sample some of Tokyo’s finest dishes, including daiginjo (premium sake) and natto gyoza (dumplings filled with fermented soybeans).
• You can maximize your enjoyment on dry land too! Just download the DreamTrips app to access DreamTrips Local — then earn points on dining, entertainment, spa experiences & more at select port-city spots recommended by DreamTrippers just like you!
