Your DreamBreak does not include a host, so you can create your own adventures, your way.
The Caribbean Sea is yours to discover as you board a brand-new ship and set off from New York for vibrant ports in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Aruba, Curacao and Turks and Caicos.
But first, you’ll have 3 full days at sea to take advantage of all the Carnival Mardi Gras has to offer! Launching in 2020, this New Orleans-inspired ship will debut amazing features such as the first roller coaster at sea, BOLT™, and 6 themed "neighborhoods." With a comedy club in Grand Central, a jazz club in the French Quarter and a pool and hangout areas in Summer Landing — and so much more — you’ll find something fun to suit everyone in the family!
Your first stop is beautiful Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, where bottlenose dolphins are happy to frolic with curious visitors. Then it’s onto San Juan, Puerto Rico, featuring the second-oldest cathedral in the Americas, followed by St. Thomas, home to Blackbeard’s Castle, a 17th-century Danish watchtower now dedicated to the area’s storied pirate history.
You’ll continue to St. Maarten — located near the place where the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet — before dropping anchor in St. Kitts, which brings promise of prime diving and snorkeling sites as well as hiking paths across mountains and dormant volcanoes. After another refreshing day at sea, you’ll arrive in Aruba, the ideal combination of sun-drenched beaches, unbeatable shopping and scenic national parkland rich in vibrant flora and fauna. Then, enjoy a day at Curacao, an island with art, culture, music and folklore deeply rooted in early African history, and colorful architecture that shines with Dutch influence. Your amazing ship will sail for a full day to make its last stop at the island of Grand Turk in Turks and Caicos, where you can explore its palm-dotted beaches, colonial ruins and prime snorkeling locales.
As you sail to Port Canaveral, Florida, you’ll have another day at sea to explore more of your brand-new ship! Why not go for a ride on the sea coaster? Strap into the motorcycle-like seat and get ready for an adrenaline rush like no other as BOLT takes you on an open-air, top-deck course high above the water (rides are at an additional cost). Hold on for that hair-raising high-speed funnel turn! Once you reach Florida, you’ll disembark ready to plan your next amazing cruise.
What we love: • Grand Turk is the site of Christopher Columbus’ initial landfall during his famous voyage in 1492.
• Amber Cove is the gateway to Puerto Plata, only a 20-minute taxi ride away. There, you’ll find beaches, markets, museums and 16th-century San Felipe fort.
• Puerto Rico is home to a number of rum distilleries, including the famous Casa Bacardi just outside San Juan.
• St. Kitts features an eclectic cuisine that combines pops of flavor from Creole, Indian, French and West Indian culinary styles.
• You can maximize your enjoyment on dry land too! Just
