Stuttgart, a city of approximately 600,000 inhabitants, lies in southern Germany. Its location in a valley basin accounts for its unusual topography of vinelands, parks and woodlands — some set in the heart of the city — as well as hills. Pedestrian staircases were built into the steep terrain, linking streets for easy access. Many of these staircases are named after city residents.

Referred to as the “cradle of the automobile,” Stuttgart has a long automotive history and is believed to be the inventor of the motorbike and 4-wheel car. Today, it’s home to two of the most famous automobile brands in the world — Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.

Arrive at the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Check into the hotel any time after 3 p.m.
3-5:00 p.m.: Welcome table at hotel lobby.
6:00 p.m.: Welcome reception at the hotel.

Day 2

7-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.: 2-hour city tour followed by lunch and a beer at a reserved table at the Stuttgart Beer Festival; includes transportation and 1 beer per person (more will be available at your own expense). The date of this is subject to availability.
The rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 3

6:30-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
A day at your leisure.

Day 4

6:30-9:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Visit to Heidelberg and a local winery; includes transportation and a wine and cheese tasting.
Return to Stuttgart to enjoy the beer festival one last time.
3-course farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 5

6:30-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
Check out of the hotel by noon and transfer to the airport. En route to the airport, visit the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 91 days or more before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 90 days before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are on a per-person basis.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of six months after the end date of the trip.
