Tamarindo is a village along the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The city is located in the Guanacaste Province — home to Las Baulas National Marine Park — and boasts ideal surfing conditions and tropical wildlife.

Ecotourism adventurers enjoy the area’s natural beauty, from wild animals to exotic marine life. Playa Grande is an important nesting place for giant leatherback sea turtles. Hiking trails run through the green rainforest and around ancient volcanos. Explore the miles of deserted beaches or fish off the shoreline. Natural hot springs heated by volcanos are a popular attraction.

Day 1

Transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Check into the hotel any time after 2 p.m.
1 - 4 p.m.: Welcome table in the hotel lobby (time and location subject to change).
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Welcome reception at the resort with a welcome cocktail and Costa Rican music and dance.


Day 2

6-6:50 a.m.: Breakfast at the resort.
7 a.m.: Depart from hotel on a Full-Day Borinquen Tour; transportation and lunch included.
• The tour begins with a horseback ride up mountains and through plains. Enjoy views of Guanacaste’s Pacific Ocean coastline and the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano.
• Gear up and prepare for the zip-lining canopy tour. Accompanied by professional guides, fly high through the treetops and zip across canyons. There are 10 cables to ride, and at one point you’ll encounter an impressive waterfall.
• Enjoy the thermal waters.
• Lunch at a Borinquen restaurant.

*Must be physically able to ride on a horse and zipline.

Day 3

6 - 7:45 a.m.: Breakfast at the resort.
8 a.m.: Depart from hotel on a 4-hour Sailing and Snorkeling Tour; transportation and lunch included. Tour will be scheduled for either morning or afternoon.
• Board a luxury catamaran at the Flamingo Marina area.
• The crew will set the sail, depending on wind conditions, and navigate for about 5 miles. Passengers will have access to some of the most beautiful, isolated beaches and snorkeling locations in Costa Rica.
• A snorkeling guide will help you discover wildlife — you may see pufferfish, starfish, sea turtles, dolphins or whales.
• Kayak, swim or fish if you like.
• Lunch prepared by the onboard chef.
Dinner and optional entertainment at the resort.

Day 4

7 a.m. - 10 a.m.: Breakfast buffet at the resort.
A day at your leisure.
7 p.m. - 10 p.m.: Farewell dinner at the Langosta Main Restaurant.

Day 5

Breakfast at the resort.
Check out of the hotel by noon.
Transfer to the airport.

Airfare is not included in the trip price! The closest commercial airport to the hotel is Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Costa Rica. We highly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 36 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll get a full refund. If you cancel within 35 days of the start date of your trip, your trip will not be refunded.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips™ Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

As always, make sure that your passport/visa is up-to-date before you leave! It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of six months after the end date of the trip.

Please note: Due to contractual supplier policies, we may not be able to confirm requested name or room changes to existing bookings for trips that are scheduled to travel within 30 days of your request.
