The area around Los Cabos was remote and rural until the later 20th century. Once development began in earnest, the area quickly became a tourism magnet due to its climate and geography, situated where the desert and mountains meet the sea.

Day 1

Arrive at the airport and check into the hotel any time after 3 p.m.
1-5 p.m.: Welcome table in the Main Lobby VIP area.
6-7 p.m.: Welcome reception at the Sky Bar.
7-10 p.m.: Dinner at the resort; your choice of 5 different restaurant options.

Day 2

7-8:30 a.m.: Breakfast at Las Olas at the resort.
Day of the Dead Cultural Experience — Experience the Mexican Tradition of "El Dia De Muertos" plus Snorkel Tour; includes transportation.
• 9 a.m.: Pickup at the resort.
• Tour to Arch of Cabo San Lucas.
• Transfer to the Marina Cabo San Lucas to go to Santa Maria Bay or Chileno Bay for beach activities (beverages included).
• Snorkel and have a scavenger hunt on the beach for elements that will be used in the evening for an “Altar de Muertos” contest.
• 1:30 p.m.: Return to the resort.
Contest of “Altar de Muertos.”
• 5-5:45 p.m.: Meet at the beach front terraces; includes an open bar.
6-9p.m.: Cocktails and dinner with an awards ceremony, hosted by Catrinas; top off the day with DJ entertainment and fluorescent make-up to celebrate the holiday.

Day 3

7-11 a.m.: Breakfast at Las Olas at the resort.
A day at your leisure.
1-4:30 p.m.: Lunch served at Las Olas at the hotel.
“Dia de Muertos” celebration; includes transportation.
• 5-6:30 p.m.: Pick up at the main lobby of the resort and transfer to downtown San Jose del Cabo to the Jazmin Restaurant. Next, enjoy Catrinas and Dia de Muertos Parade, including time to enjoy the God’s drink, damiana, and appetizers while being entertained with a Mexican legend reading and show.
• 6:30-8 p.m.: Walk around downtown, visit the altars at the art galleries and the town plaza (square), see local art and vendors, and listen to live music.
• 8:15 p.m.: Return to the Barcelo Hotel.

Day 4

7-11 a.m.: Breakfast at Las Olas at the resort.
A day at your leisure.
1-4:30 p.m.: Lunch served at Las Olas at the resort.
6-8 p.m. Farewell dinner on the Ocean Front Terrace.

Day 5

7-11 a.m.: Breakfast at Las Olas at the resort.
Check out of the resort by 11 a.m. and transfer to the airport.

Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 91 days or more before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 90 days before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are on a per-person basis.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 45 days or more before the start date of your trip, there will be no fee for the name change(s). If you change any name(s) on your booking 44 to 31 days before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips™ Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

As always, make sure that your passport/visa is up-to-date before you leave! It’s very important to double check that you have all the necessary identification required for the specific country you’re traveling to. Keep in mind that many countries require passports and/or visas to be valid for a minimum of 6 months after the end date of the trip.
