Tropical Fiji Tour & Island Retreat

Visit Fiji’s outlying islands, take in local gardens and markets, and enjoy snorkeling, hiking and more on this island getaway.

About Your Trip

Experience both recreation and relaxation on this exciting DreamTrip to Denarau Island. Kick off your adventure with a half-day guided tour that includes sightseeing at the exquisite Garden of the Sleeping Giant. Then, visit Viseisei — widely believed to be the 1st-ever Fijian village — and stop at the Hindu temple Sri Siva Subramaniya for a photo opportunity. Also get an authentic taste of Fijian culture amid the hustle and bustle at Nadi’s fresh fruit and vegetable markets.

Set sail to Tivua Island for a full day of activities highlighting Fiji’s unique culture and natural surroundings. On the island, take a medicine nature walk, learn to husk and weave coconut fibers and participate in a traditional kava ceremony. Snorkel around the island and drift through 500 acres (202 hectares) of vibrant coral beds and marvel at the diverse marine life. Activities for children include playing volleyball, building sandcastles or joining a treasure hunt.

Your getaway also includes ample leisure time to explore more of this island paradise. Or simply stay put and enjoy all of the incredible amenities of the resort complex, which includes the neighboring properties.

What we love:
• The 3-part Sri Siva Subramaniya Swami temple is one of the few places outside of India featuring traditional Dravidian architecture.
• The impressive collection of beautiful orchids at Garden of the Sleeping Giant — over 2,000 varieties, in addition to other stunning flora — was started by the late actor Raymond Burr, star of “Perry Mason” and “Ironside.”
• Kava is highly esteemed in Fijian culture — the drink made from the plant has long been used as a traditional medicine and also plays a major role in many social, religious and political customs.

Destination

Located in the South Pacific, Fiji is an archipelago of more than 330 tropical islands and 550 smaller islets, most of them uninhabitable. A terrain of lagoons, rainforests, mountains and beaches — along with a tropical climate — makes it the perfect setting for all types of land and sea activities. Fiji’s capital, Suva, is a multicultural, modern city with museums, markets, shopping and restaurants.

As the largest integrated resort in the Pacific Ocean, Denarau Island provides entertainment for all on the main island of Viti Levu. Denarau features expansive hotels, resorts and villas, restaurants and bars, and a range of activities and sports, including an 18-hole championship golf course. White sands and turquoise waters meet on tranquil beaches, so there are plentiful places for guests to relax throughout the region. The underwater world of Fiji's coral reef invites visitors to splash with marine life.

By booking this DreamTrip I understand that the hotel may request a credit card upon check-in. The hotel may request the credit card in order to: a) place a monetary hold of US$50-200; or b) hold for incidental, security or other charges. Should I have questions concerning the hotel’s policy, I accept responsibility for contacting the hotel independent of Rovia or WorldVentures.
