Bergen is the 2nd-largest city in Norway and offers a variety of activities to learn more about the country’s vibrant culture. Head to a history museum, tour an art gallery, or dine at a delicious restaurant serving up Norwegian delicacies such as rokt laks (smoked salmon) or fiskesuppe (fish soup).

Bergen has been inhabited since the 11th century, when a flourishing trading village was established in the area. Bryggen is the name of the antique quayside and was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. Another important place in the region, the Institute of Marine Research, is Europe’s 2nd-largest academy dedicated to aquatic exploration. Bergen is known for being an academic and a cultural center in Western Norway, and has leading schools of economics and business.

On top of other exciting excursions, Platinum Members will be treated to an exclusive, per-person Bergen walking tour and Floibanen funicular ride on Day 3.*

Day 3: Guided walking tour of Bergen and Floibanen funicular; includes transportation and gratuities.
• 11 a.m.: Depart from the hotel.
• See Hakons Hall, Rosenkrantz Tower, St. Mary’s Church and more.
• See the wharf and visit local markets before continuing down the waterfront.
• Make your way to the Floibanen funicular to ride the rail up Mt. Floyen for unbeatable views of the city.
• 1 p.m.: Return to the hotel.

Check into the hotel at any time after 3 p.m.
12-5 p.m.: Visit the welcome table in the hotel lobby.
7 p.m.: Welcome reception at the hotel; includes 1 glass of beer or wine.

Day 2

6:30-10 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
9 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Full-day Hardangerfjord in a nutshell tour; includes transportation.
• 9 a.m.: Pickup from the hotel and board the tour bus.
• Transfer to Hardangerfjord along Tourist Road #7 and enjoy spectacular views.
• Stop for photography at the Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen waterfalls.
• Pass through the scenic small town of Norheimsund, and stop for another photo at Skasvatnet, a pretty lake teeming with goldfish.
• Journey along the fjord and cross the Hardangerfjord Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world; on the other side, pass the small town of Eidfjord.
• Lunch break. Lunch is at your own expense.
• Continue past cozy towns to stunning Voringfossen, Norway’s largest waterfall.
• Transfer back to Bergen via the town of Voss.
• 7 p.m.: Return to the hotel.
The rest of the evening at your leisure.

Day 3

7-10:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
A day at your leisure.
7 p.m.: Farewell 3-course dinner at the hotel; includes water, tea and coffee.

Day 4

7-10:30 a.m.: Breakfast at the hotel.
Check out of the hotel by noon.

Cancellation Policy*: If you cancel 91 days or more before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$50. If you cancel between 46 and 90 days before your trip, you’ll get a refund less a fee of US$100. If you cancel within 45 days of your trip, your trip will not be refunded. All fees are on a per-person basis.

*This cancellation policy is subject to rules and regulations in applicable jurisdictions in which our travel supplier is based. Therefore, in the event of conflict between the cancellation policy displayed here and cancellation terms in supplier booking terms, the provisions of the booking terms will prevail.

Name Change Policy: If you change any name(s) on your booking 30 days or more before the start date of your trip, you’ll be charged a fee of US$50 per name change. Name changes are not permitted within 30 days of the start date of your trip.

Members can’t combine DreamTrips Points. Your membership level determines the maximum amount of DreamTrips Points you can use. If you have more than 50 Rovia Bucks, you can apply them in the checkout process.

In the unfortunate event that an activity or excursion is no longer available, we will substitute a similar activity of equal or greater value.

It’s important to double check that you have all the identification and other documentation required by the specific country you’re traveling to. In many countries, passports and visas must be valid for 6 months or longer after the trip end date. If you are unable to obtain the required identification and other documentation, the Cancellation Policy for this DreamTrip will apply.
