Beautiful Bohol by Land & Sea

Journey to the Philippines where pristine beaches, dolphins, tarsiers, ancient sites and more await you.

About Your Trip

Expect plenty of fun in the sun in Bohol — and beyond — as you explore the unique landmarks, landscapes and native wildlife of this popular spot. You’ll start your journey in paradise with a fascinating tour that winds through the countryside. Your initial stop is the monument commemorating a famous mid-1500s peace accord known as the “blood compact.” At the Jesuit-built Baclayon Church, admire its bell tower and murals and its Baroque and Neoclassic pulpit. Visit the infamous python — don’t worry, he’s in captivity! — then walk the paths of the man-made forest near Bilar. You’ll also get to know the local wildlife by visiting with tarsiers, an endangered miniature primate, and taking a stroll through a butterfly garden. At Bohol’s famous bamboo hanging bridge, you can test your skills and dare to cross! Continue to Chocolate Hills, a surreal landscape of conical mounds of grass that turn brown in the dry season. Along the way, you’ll also enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Loboc River and savor a buffet lunch from the floating restaurant.

The following day, you’ll embark on an exhilarating island adventure. Head out on the Bohol Sea to look for dolphins playing and feeding in the cool morning water near Pamilacan Island. Along the shore at Pamilacan Island, you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing. You can also tour a local village to get a sense of life on this beautiful island.

Spend ample leisure time taking in more of Bohol’s fantastic beaches or shopping for souvenirs for friends and family back home.

What we love:
• The Sikatuni-Legaspi blood compact, known locally as “Sandugo,” is believed to be the first treaty between 2 different races, religions and cultures.
• The man-made forest near Bilar is mostly composed of mahogany trees planted as part of a reforestation project.
• The mesmerizing Chocolate Hills are so central to the people of Bohol that they even appear on the province’s flag.

Hop aboard a plane to Bohol, a jungle-clad island in the Philippines framed by white beaches and shimmering Pacific waters. It’s famous for the native population of rare tarsiers, some of the world’s tiniest tree-hugging primates. This tropical paradise is also known for the Chocolate Hills, a collection of over 1,200 limestone hills aptly named for natural grasses that cover them and turn brown in the dry season. Sightseeing destinations also include Bohol’s Baroque churches, which were constructed by missionaries during the 16th century. Foods here are heavily influenced by Spanish and Chinese cuisines, but local chefs use regional spices and vegetables to make their dishes distinct.
